BOSTON, MA – Boston Common’s participation in a multi-stakeholder initiative addressing free expression and privacy challenges faced by technology and communications companies was announced today. This initiative marks a new phase in the multi-stake holder effort, which Boston Common joined as one of the first participants from the socially responsible investment community. The announcement was made by The Center for Democracy and Technology and Business for Social Responsibility, co-facilitators of the initiative “which aims to produce a set of principles guiding company behavior when faced with laws, regulations and policies that interfere with the achievement of human rights,” as stated in today’s announcement.
