CIO Magazine: Lifting the Veil: How ESG brings transparency to the fastest growing markets

DAPL: Join us in engaging banks and financiers!

This past week brought welcome news when the U.S. Department of the Army stated that it would not approve an easement for the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) to cross under Lake Oahe in North Dakota. The Department requested that the Army Corps of Engineers carry out a full Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to consider alternate routes for the pipeline crossing. While this is a big victory for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and Indigenous communities, the incoming Trump Administration could work to overturn the decision over the coming year. Boston Common Grieves Sudden Loss of Analyst and Friend, Nathan Foley-Mendelssohn

Nathan Foley-Mendelssohn (1979-2013) It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our long-time colleague and dear friend, Nathan Foley-Mendelssohn. Nathan was on an extended personal trip to Iceland when he went missing while on a hike there. There were extensive search and rescue efforts made, but to no avail. Nathan was a member of the Boston Common family from 2003, our first year as a firm.
