Since its creation in 2006 the UN-supported Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) has become a driver for sustainability in the global investment community. Its 1,300 signatories, from 53 countries, manage over £45tn of assets – around a fifth of the world’s capital – and it has enabled investors to use their influence to improve corporate behavior on issues such as water risks and climate data.
